Two ways to search
- Some or All — finds every word you can make using some or all of your letters. This is useful for Scrabble or Words With Friends: enter your whole rack and see words you can form, from short words up to words using every tile.
- Full Anagram — finds words that use every one of your letters, rearranged, and nothing else. This is the classic "unscramble this word" anagram puzzle mode.
Where the word list comes from
Results are checked against ENABLE (Enhanced North American Benchmark LExicon), a public-domain word list created for word games. The version used by this solver contains more than 172,000 words.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between "Some or All" and "Full Anagram"?
"Some or All" finds words using some or all of your letters, in any combination up to the letters you entered. This is useful for finding words you can form from a Scrabble or Words With Friends rack. "Full Anagram" only finds words that use every single letter you entered, rearranged, and nothing else.
Will this work for Words With Friends specifically?
The solver uses ENABLE, not the official Words With Friends dictionary. ENABLE overlaps with many words accepted by Words With Friends, but the two word lists are not identical. Some words accepted by Words With Friends may not appear in ENABLE, and some ENABLE words may not be accepted in the game. If a word is important for a game, check it directly in Words With Friends.
Why doesn't my own word show up in Full Anagram results?
The original input is deliberately excluded so the results focus on other words that can be formed from the same letters.
