Random Name Wheel

A free wheel of names spinner — enter your own list, spin, and get a random pick. Great for choosing a winner, deciding who goes first, or randomly assigning teams.

Result

How it works

Type or paste your names one per line, then spin. Every name gets an equal chance by default — list a name twice (or more) to give it better odds, useful for weighting a raffle or making sure a particular outcome comes up more often.

Large lists

With a lot of names, individual labels on the wheel itself become too small to read, so past a certain size the wheel switches to plain alternating colors instead of trying to cram in illegible text. The spin result and your spin history always show the full name you entered, in full, regardless of how many names are on the wheel.

Frequently asked questions

How do I give one name better odds than the others?

List it more than once. A name listed twice is twice as likely to be picked as a name listed once, three times is three times as likely, and so on — the wheel treats every line as one equal-weight entry.

Is there a limit on how many names I can enter?

Up to 200 names. You need at least 2 to spin. Past 40 names, the wheel drops individual text labels for readability, but every name still has an equal (or weighted, if repeated) chance of being picked, and the winning name is always shown in full.
