How it works
Check the regions you want included — Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Oceania — and the wheel rebuilds itself with exactly those countries, one segment each. Spin, and a country is picked uniformly at random from whatever's currently included; every country in your selection has an equal chance, regardless of region size.
Flags on the wheel
With a small enough selection, each wheel segment shows that country's actual flag. Once a region combination gets past about 30 countries, individual flags get too thin to make out on the wheel itself — at that point the wheel switches to plain alternating colors, but the result underneath the wheel always shows a full-size flag no matter how many countries are in play. Turn flags off entirely with the toggle if you'd rather keep the wheel plain.
No territories, just countries
The list behind this wheel is the same 193 UN member states used throughout this site's country tools — sovereign countries only, no dependencies or territories like Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, or Greenland mixed in.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see flags on the wheel when I select a large region like Africa?
Africa has 54 countries, which makes each wheel slice too thin to fit a legible flag — past roughly 30 countries in your selection, the wheel switches to plain colored segments so it doesn't turn into an unreadable blur. The country you land on is still shown with its full flag underneath the wheel either way.
Is every country equally likely, or do bigger regions dominate?
Every included country has exactly the same chance, one segment each. Selecting Africa and Oceania together means Africa's 54 countries are collectively more likely to come up than Oceania's 14 simply because there are more of them — but no single country is weighted any differently from any other in your selection.
Does this store my spin history or region selections?
No. Everything happens in your browser, including the small recent-spins history shown below the wheel — it clears the moment you leave or refresh the page, and nothing is ever sent to a server.
