Weekly hours, overtime, and pay in one place
Fill in a start time, end time, and any break for each day you worked — leave a day blank to skip it. Overtime (weekly hours over a threshold you set, 40 by default) and pay are both optional and can be turned off if you just want the raw hours. Rounding clock times to the nearest 5 or 15 minutes is available too, applied before hours are calculated.
Switch to our Hours Calculator for clock-to-clock tracking. It calculates exact shift durations, subtracts unpaid lunch breaks, and handles overnight hours for easy time card logging. Or convert hours and minutes into decimal hours.
Frequently asked questions
How is overtime calculated?
All your worked hours for the week are added together, and anything over the weekly threshold (40 hours by default, adjustable) counts as overtime. This calculator only applies overtime on a weekly basis, not a daily one.
What happens with an overnight shift?
If the end time is earlier than the start time, the shift is treated as crossing midnight into the next day.
