How this differs from the Team Generator and Name Picker
These three randomizers look similar but do different things. The Random Team Generator splits a full list into groups — everyone gets placed on a team. The Random Name Picker selects some names and leaves the rest unselected — a single winner, or a handful of them. This tool instead takes the whole list and hands back every single item, just reordered — nothing grouped, nothing left out.
Auto-generating a list instead of typing one
Numbers and Letters generate the full sequential range you set (say, 1 to 100, or A to Z) and shuffle it — the classic "shuffle a numbered list" use case, without needing to type each value out by hand.
Frequently asked questions
How do I shuffle a list?
Choose Custom List, paste your items (one per line or comma-separated), and click Shuffle List. Every item comes back, just in a new random order.
Can I shuffle a list of numbers, like 1 to 100?
Yes — choose Numbers, set the range, and generate. You'll get every number in that range back in random order.
Can I shuffle a range of letters instead of numbers?
Yes — choose Letters, set a start and end letter (like A to Z, or a smaller range), and choose uppercase or lowercase before generating.
